Vector and Sentinel deal with Dark Scorponok, realizing too late that he's just a distraction...
Synopsis
[edit]Skyfall demands to know how Ramjet knows him, but the herald simply states that he knew him millions of stellar cycles ago and things have since changed. Skyfall demands to know what Ramjet knows about him, but he walks off with his Scrapmetals having obtained the data required for his mission. However, Ramjet offers him a deal: help him complete this mission, and he will tell him all he knows.
Meanwhile, at the Kalis Primary Energon Reserves Control, Dark Scorponok begs for Sentinel Maximus to give him his spark. Sentinel radios Vector Prime for assistance, but is forced to go into battle while Vector attempts to reroute power to the autoguns. Sentinel strikes down Dark Scorponok with his digital maces, but is stung by the undead Decepticon's nanomachines, crippling him. Knocking out Safeguard with a quick punch, Dark Scorponok grabs the prone Sentinel, intending to begin his feast. The autoguns suddenly come online, giving him three nano-kliks to stand down. This does not deter him, but at the last possible second Sentinel forms a digital muzzle, blasting Dark Scorponok offline. Vector rushes to Sentinel, who's systems have managed to begin purging the mech-venom. Safeguard and Vector recognize the dead Terrorcon as suffering from a spark infliction that corrupts the core programming and locks the spark in a degrading shell, lamenting the fact that if he and the other Autobots had managed to find a Cyber Planet Key something could have been done. Vector Prime also informs Sentinel that he was not the one who turned on the autoguns; an unknown ally is watching over them. Suddenly, a message comes through from Downshift at the Spark Core Access Tunnels. Although the message has been corrupted with static Vector realizes that he was mistaken on Ramjet's plan and opens a dimensional gate for Sentinel Maximus and himself.
In the access tunnels after a brief battle, Scrapmetal corpses lie about smoking while Downshift, impaled by one of Nemesis Prime's scythes, refuses to tell Ramjet anything. This doesn't matter to the Decepticon, as he knows from Downshift's attempts to stop him that he is where he wants to be, and leaves him to contemplate his upcoming annihilation. Nemesis Prime feels uneasy with leaving Skyfall behind, but Ramjet insists it doesn't matter, as victory will soon be theirs. Suddenly, however, Vector Prime and Sentinel Maximus burst through their dimensional gate, ready to stop them...
