Batbot is saved by his "partner," much to his annoyance.
Synopsis
[edit]Blackcat gloats that Batbot, suspended over a vat of acid, was unable to solve his puzzles in time. Suddenly, Slugfest burst through the room, much to Batbot's consternation. Surprisingly, Blackcat considers his scheme foiled, and when Batbot asks why, Blackcat insist you can't argue with Slugfest's that he's the "coolest".

Notes
[edit]Transformers references
[edit]- Batbot and Slugfest's grouping is obviously inspired by the then-upcoming e-HOBBY exclusive "SG Soundwave vs SG Blaster" set. In accordance, Ratbat's been redesigned, with his rounded, character model-accurate ears being replaced with the thin, horn-like toy accurate ears.
Real-world references
[edit]- Slugfest's get-up, with a green mask and circular patch with his inital as an emblem, is obviously inspired by Robin, partner of Batman, who serves as Batbot's inspiration.
Errors
[edit]- Slugfest is depicted as being unintelligent and only able to speak in primitive "caveman" speech, as he was depicted in "Dungeons & Dinobots". However, "Do Over" would show that after gaining an ember, he was able to talk normally and had average intelligence. Slugfest's original characterization would persist in every other appearance he made.
