Wasteoid Gamma is a Junkion from the cartoon portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Wasteoid Gamma is a Junkion.

Fiction

The Transformers cartoon

Voice actor: Keiichi Nanba (Japanese)
That's me throwing both my arms in the air!

Wasteoid Gamma was among the Junkions that attacked the Autobots stranded on their planet. A Wastoid Gamma rode a Scrapheap into battle while he began an attempt (finished by another Scrapheap) to lasso Autobots with his chain whip. Many Wasteoid Gammas riding other Junkions passed a pair of Scrapheaps being yanked apart while trying to lasso Springer.

The arrival of a shuttle interrupted the battle, and as Hot Rod's party emptied their ship, Wasteoid Gamma walked up next to Wreck-Gar in case the new arrivals would be hostile and his leader would need help. It wouldn't be so; Hot Rod offered the universal greeting and an energon goodie to the Junkions, which convinced them that the Autobots were not enemies. The two groups then spontaneously began to celebrate their newly formed alliance. The Transformers: The Movie

Notes

  • Wasteoid Gamma was never named in any fiction; his name (and the names of many other Junkions) comes from character designer's notes, revealed in Transformers: The Complete Ark.
  • Wasteoid Gamma's character model features the same arms as Junkyard, Ashtray, and HAZMAT, the same legs as Junkyard, Greasestain, and HAZMAT, and features an entirely new torso and head design.
  • In the movie, Wasteoid Gamma is shown beginning to throw his chain lasso at Springer, but when the camera angle changes, he becomes Scrapheap instead.
