The Rescue Bots learn that every life on earth needs every other, so there are no small rescues.
Synopsis
Under the watchful gaze of Boulder, the five Rescue Bot recruits engage in some gardening. Hoist is startled by a bee. Hot Shot is not sure what the point of the exercise is, but Boulder asserts that nature is interconnected, so planting flowers is helpful. The recruits are still confused, so Boulder sets up a rescue exercise to demonstrate.
Boulder starts a simulation of a farm threatened by a forest fire, and sets them the task of rescuing Farmer Tough Luck Chuck and his animals. Whirl is assigned the task of finding Chuck while the others wrangle various animals. Medix and Hoist extract some cows from the milking shed, Hot Shot works on rounding up chickens, and Wedge finds picking up a bull is easier than trying to push it. Whirl rescues Chuck from the bottom of the well and eventually with everyone in the safe zone, she hits the finish button. Despite their premature celebrations, the simulation indicates failure. The confused recruits try the test again, successfully rescuing Chuck and his animals, only to get a second fail. Boulder has Hero Hall continue the simulation, showing that all the plants will die, leaving the farm derelict, and suggests the recruits take a break to consider where they went wrong.
While the recruits ponder what happened, Hot Shot plays some Cube, and Whirl asks to have a try. She quickly finds it's not as easy as Hot Shot makes it look. Hot Shot's suggestion that she start with good form gives her an idea. The recruits return to Hero Hall where they rewind the simulation and discover that the destruction of the farm began with the flowers, making them realize they missed rescuing the bees. Boulder starts the simulation again, and once they rescue Chuck and his animals, the recruits find the bee hives. After some unsuccessful attempts to get the bees to go into their hives, they hit on the idea of luring the bees with flowers, and this time the simulation ends in a win. The recruits have learned the important lesson that no rescue is too small.
