Atari's made a new friend.
Synopsis
[edit]In the Earth Defense Command, Atari Hitotonari has made friends with Kayu Michikusa, an easygoing girl who stays by Atari's side whenever she's sad. They've agreed to go out tomorrow, a prospect which excites Atari, who has gone through life without anybody to call a best friend. Her newly discovered happiness is interrupted when Ringo Chikuma shows up to slather some sticky honey all over Atari. The poor girl sobs for somebody to help her from her bully, and is elated when Kayu shows up. However, Kayu just stands by and doesn't intercede to stop Ringo's cruelty, unnerving Atari.
The next day, Atari doesn't meet up with Kayu and afterwards runs away from her whenever the two cross paths. One day, Atari decides she needs to confront the issue head on, but finds out from her Autorooper that Kayu has been transferred to another department. Atari receives no reply to her emails to Kayu and beats herself up for ruining a new friendship.
