- Bludgeon was to have been a Decepticon from the Animated continuity family.

- Bludgeon was drawn up as an idea for a possible character appearance in the unproduced fourth season of the Animated cartoon. His concept art was later published in The AllSpark Almanac II.
- Unlike the Generation 1 incarnation, this Bludgeon would've been a pirate instead of a samurai.
