Regalis V

Somewhere in deep space, far away from Cybertron, lies the planet Regalis V. Covered in thick jungles, the planet has no native animal life- but it is instead inhabited by many species of ambulatory plants; something that the Maximals found interesting enough to study.
Fiction
Beast Machines cartoon
Botanica's ship landed there, and she and her crew took the forms of its native plants to blend in, avoid the attention of the carnivorous (herbivorous?) ones, and study them, similar to Optimus Primal's team on Earth. Home Soil
Animated cartoon continuity
Regalis V was part of the Nebulon Republic. AllSpark Almanac II
2005 IDW continuity
Regalis V lay only a stone's throw from Salvvatan VIII, and was composed entirely of colossal, phosphorescent plants sprouting from a single gigantic seed at the very center of the world. Following their encounter with Sixshot and Metroplex on Salvvatan VIII, Spotlight: Metroplex the surviving Throttlebots crash-landed on one of the gigantic plants, permanently marooning them. With no way to get off-world, Searchlight nicknamed the planet "Botanica".
Unaware that the war had ended, the Throttlebots spent ten years marooned on the planet, synthesizing an energon substitute by boiling the local plants while worrying that the Decepticons had won the war. One evening, they were attacked by a pack of beast mode Transformers, who killed Searchlight, and nearly killed Rollbar, Chase, and Goldbug. They were saved by Prowl, Wheelie, Garnak, and Stardrive, who had followed the beastformers to the planet. The Dead Come Home, Part 1
Notes
- The planet Botanica landed on was not named during Beast Machines. Its name was revealed in "Wreckers: Finale Part II" when the Quintesson Al-Badur recognized Botanica's alternate mode as an ambulatory plant native to Regalis V.
- The brief (and only) appearance of Regalis V in cartoon continuity was in fact a recycled background from one of Mainframe's other shows, War Planets.
