Transformers Beyond Reality alternate reality game
In late July 2021, a Transformers-related alternate reality game began making the rounds on several prominent social media websites. Within a week, multiple social media accounts on these websites began posting material regarding a possible alien encounter in Canada and the rise of an enigmatic robotics corporation. About a week later, mainstream Transformers websites like TFW2005 began reporting on the game.
The story initially involved three major players: the mysterious Rebellium Dynamics corporation, an independent conspiracy theorist on Twitter with the handle "BlazarFocused", and an Imgur account known as "Hermes1984".
After many months of vague Twitter posts, question-dodging, and a general reluctance to advance the story in any meaningful capacity, the ARG seemed to stall out before resuming activity in August 2022 on all accounts involved, along with introducing a new player, the mysterious hacking group "Dec0derZ". The ARG came to a head on September 1, 2022, revealing itself to have been a promotional tool for the virtual reality video game Transformers Beyond Reality, which released that day..
