The name or term "Quest" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Quest (disambiguation).
The Thumb Quest is an adventure from the 2005 IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

During the Great War, the Autobots embarked on a Thumb Quest. Precisely whose thumb they were questing for remains unknown.

It's Dead Universe bad, isn't it? It's Thunderwing bad. No—no! It's worse—it's Thumb Quest bad.Swerve, "Cybertronian Homesick Blues"

Fiction

2005 IDW continuity

Swerve participated in the Thumb Quest. He would later complain that it had been extraordinarily bad, though it still ranked above the "Prime Quest" (and presumably four others) in his top ten quests of all time. Cybertronian Homesick Blues

Notes

  • Put mildly, Swerve is not the most reliable of narrators and prone to self-inflation. The Thumb Quest may have been a full-on quest like the "Knight Quest" or it may be his way of referring to that one time he somehow lost his thumb in Maccadam's and had to spend ages looking for it.
  • At one point in their journeys, the crew of the Lost Light brought aboard an errant fragment of Metroplex, as mentioned in "The Reluctant Specialist"—later confirmed to be one of the Titan's thumbs in "Winners & Losers". What—if any—relationship this has with the Thumb Quest is unclear.
