Transformers Stop Motion Netflix Anime

Transformers Stop Motion Netflix Anime is a series of online stop motion shorts that were released throughout 2020. The series was animated by Counter656 and produced by Allspark Animation to promote the release of Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy on Netflix. Episodes first appeared on the Netflix Japan Anime account on Twitter, followed by releases on Counter656's YouTube channel and the English Netflix Anime YouTube channel. The series focuses on the Autobots and Decepticons creating online videos inspired by Netflix programming in order to gain more social media clout than the other.

Notes

• The series primarily utilizes toys from the War for Cybertron: Siege and War for Cybertron Trilogy toylines. Several BotBots toys also appear, but only as props via their alternate modes and not as proper characters.
• The shorts largely employ silent humor, with characters expressing themselves though a combination of mime and emojis popping up over their heads; the lone exception is a single spoken line in the second episode.
