Produced to tie in with the 2007 movie, the Top Trumps Transformers book is an expansion on the Top Trumps card pack. It consists of a series of profiles on characters and a few objects from the film. Each gets a text profile, written by Simon Furman, along with a quote and a list of attributes including items from the cards. Transformers also get a description for their alternate mode.
Attributes for Transformers are the usual things — "function", "height", "power", "Sector 7 threat rating" — while humans get attributes such as "played by", "likes" and "dislikes", and "special features". The last of these is used for items of note which don't fit into other categories, including "Deceased", "Adviser to President", and "Trainer of Mojo the chihuahua".

- The images illustrating Figueroa's entry are all of Burke. This is not the only time this has happened, as the Top Trumps card for Patrick Donnelly also shows the wrong actor.
- One of Megatron's images is of one of his unused face designs.
- Good luck using this book for reference of Scorponok's head; for whatever reason, the models used for him have it removed. He does have some nice gear-work between his shoulders though...
- Optimus has "remote-access drone units" which give him a tactical overview of situations.
- The city in which the Witwickys live is named as Tranquility, Nevada.
- Mikaela's father is named as Colin Banes.
- The final battle of the movie is placed in Los Angeles rather than Mission City.
- Epps likes "Hip-hop", and dislikes "Fig's Mama's alligator étouffée".
- Maggie Madsen works for the RAND Corporation.
- The "Witwicky Family" don't get individual text profiles, but they do get individual attributes.
- Moustache Man can be seen in one of Starscream's images, though he is not mentioned in the text.
- Blackout has "personal drone troopers", which may simply be a reference to Scorponok.
- One of Frenzy's images features a clapper board.
