Sonokong is a South Korean company that has held the master license to market Transformers toys in Korea since 1995. Sonokong's product line has been more influenced by Takara than Hasbro, as evidenced by their importation of the other Japanese-exclusive Beast Wars II and Beast Wars Neo franchises.

The Sonokong versions of Gigastorm and Brave Maximus have become popular among Western collectors seeking lower-cost, easier-to-find alternatives to their respective HasTak G1 predecessors.
