Fireflight was pulled from his home universe of Viron 704.31 Epsilon by Unicron on the eve of a critical battle, leading to Optimus Prime's defeat at the hands of Megazarak. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/07/30

Fireflight was one of the many universe-displaced Cybertronians released from the Cauldron in a jailbreak engineered by Silverbolt and Trailbreaker. Escape Fireflight was later part of Optimus Primal's forces in the final battle of the Universe War against Unicron's Minions when Unicron began to vanish due to his collapse into the Unicron Singularity. After the end of the Universe War, Fireflight ended up on the Cybertron of Primax 509.28 Epsilon and joined Primal Prime's Wreckers. A redeco of the Beast Machines Vehicon Spy Streak, Universe Fireflight transforms into a Cybertronic jet, resembling a heavily stylized SR-71 Blackbird. In both modes, he has a twin spring-loaded missile launcher, and his cockpit splits open to form a clamping claw. He came with the Mini-Cons Firebot and Thunderwing that Fireflight himself cannot use in any way.

The stock photos have Fireflight's jet mode mistransformed; his vertical stabilizers are not folded up.

The final retail toy lacks the paint wash seen in Hasbro's stock photography. Yes, the red deco on his clamp does have terrifying implications.

This mold was also used to make the Robots in Disguise Nightcruz.
