Boss is a human from Mazinger Z.

Boss (ボス Bosu) is a brash young man, that every now and then boasts about something called "the age of fatso". Out of envy for his rival, Kōji Kabuto, he kidnapped three scientists and forced them to build him an awesome and totally not incompetent super robot of his own.

He's also a friend of Grimlock.

Fiction

Chapter 1

Boss, piloting his super robot, was sent by Professor Yumi, along with Shirō, Mucha, and Nuke to investigate the enemy's new weapon, a beam cannon made from diamonds. Eager to get his greedy hands on some diamonds, Boss enthusiastically digs through the rubble, only to find Grimlock! Mistaking him for a mechanical beast, Boss fights Grimlock and loses, but the strenght of his super robot impressed him, he became even more impressed by the fact that it was piloted by humans. With the misunderstandings settled, Grimlock befriends the humans. When the tired Dinobot states that he's hungry, Boss offers him photon power at their lab, dismissing Shirō's protests.
