D-Style

D-Style (D-スタイル) are a line of franchise-spanning non-scale super deformed plastic model kits produced by Kotobukiya, which include a number of non-transforming G1 Transformer characters.

Assembly

The models are simple to assemble, however they will require basic plastic model assembly techniques, such as cutting parts from the runners, and cutting the remains of the gates (the place where the part was connected to the runner). Sanding the remains of the gates is not recommended unless the piece is being painted, as the sanding will result in scratch marks. You will want to have a pair of plastic nippers for cutting parts from the runners, a hobby knife for cleaning the gates and a pair of tweezers for applying stickers.

The kits do not require paint, however due to a limitations of the kit, some accessories and panels require painting to achieve a finished look (for example Optimus Prime's gun is grey due to there being no other black pieces in the box), though some details are pre-painted, such as Optimus' yellow hip details. In addition, painting is required to add many of the finer details as seen in the stock photos, which have all been built to a professional standard.
