Maarin (possibly since renamed to Mekka) was once the home of an organic race of the same name but is now inhabited by the Teklaans.

Of Masters and Mayhem

[edit]

In the past, Maarin was devastated by its organic natives. To rebuild their planet, they created the Teklaans as a terraforming force. The Teklaans did their job too well however and recreated perfect viruses in the new biosphere, wiping out the Maarin within a few generations. With an empty planet, the Teklaans began reshaping it to their own ends, word of this eventually finding its way to Fractyl.

When the Teklaans approached Bluestreak and offered to rebuild Cybertron, he turned over the Wreckers as the necessary biological blueprint before Fractyl remembered what the Teklaans had done to Marrin. When the Teklaans confirmed that they intended to do the same to Cybertron, Wreckage chased them off the planet, opting to let them return to Maarin to let their rest of their species know that Cybertron was off-limits.
