Optimus Prime revealed a wide range of combat maneuvers to his fellow Autobots after an accident on an asteroid. After they inquired where he learned these, Optimus stated that he trained Autobot Academy but gave no reason why he left... perhaps he was late for classes? Who knows...

Blackarachnia is also known to have attended the academy, but her tour of duty was short-lived as she was accidentally left behind on a mission to a hostile planet. The experience lead her to pursue other career choices.
