Meet Beachcomber. Beachcomber's the dude. Beachcomber waves "hi". Beachcomber is nice. He wants to be everyone's friend. He also takes drugs, like syk, simultronics, Angolmois, and crysmag.[1] Unfortunately, good things do not happen to Beachcomber. Poor guy.

Beachcomber was part of the crowd cheering during Sentinel's speech. Decepticon Air Not too much later, Sideswipe had pulled up Beachcomber's mugshot while looking into potential suspects in the theft of weapons from Ironfist's lab. The Stunti-Con Job

Notes

  • Beachcomber was originally intended to debut in a scene with Shockwave during "TransWarped", in which he died horribly, turning gray and crumbling into dust.[2] The scene was recorded, with Beachcomber being voiced by Tom Kenny, who would provide a surfer type of voice. It was cut from the show for reasons unknown, other than being cut for time.
    • Had the fourth season of Animated been produced, its season premiere "The Trial of Megatron" would have featured a scene of Beachcomber getting ambushed and brutally killed by Blackout instead.
    • Marty Isenberg claimed that had Beachcomber somehow survived season four as well, they would have found a way to kill him in a theoretical fifth season. Poor hippie can't catch a break.
  • Derrick J. Wyatt mourns the loss of Beachcomber's planned death scene, having expressed his lack of fondness for Beachcomber on several occasions.[3] Jim Sorenson once said he was not alone in this hatred.[4] However, Wyatt's dislike of Beachcomber ended up waning after a while.[5]
  • Wyatt has provided some tips about how to play Beachcomber for an RP group on Twitter, suggesting he should be dumber and more stoned, also claiming that his processor should be "totally fried." Oh, Derrick.[6]
