The Archa Seven arachnids are giant spiders that reside on Archa Seven.

When Optimus, Sentinel, and Elita-1 arrived on Archa Seven in search of a lost energon cache, they were attacked by the indigenous spiders in the planet's underground caverns. Outnumbered, the Autobots fled, and eventually stumbled upon the wrecked ship carrying the energon. Unfortunately, the ship was also where the spiders laid their eggs, and they were not happy about the intruders.

In their attempt to escape, Optimus and Elita detonated the energon, but Elita was left behind to fend off the spiders on her own. When she was bitten, she used her "download" ability on their venom, only to transform into a techno-organic hybrid creature. From that moment on, her new alternate mode was that of a techno-organic Archa Seven arachnid. Along Came a Spider

Web of Deception

Blackarachnia hired Lockdown to procure one of the spiders and take it to Earth, in an attempt to similarly contaminated Optimus Prime with its DNA as revenge. Lockdown was able to place the sedated spider next to Optimus Prime, who was secured to a bomb. Luckily for Optimus, the other Autobots were able to foil Blackarachnia's plan. Web of Deception

As this is a multipath adventure, details of what happened may vary. In one outcome, Lockdown got a better offer and sold both Blackarachnia and the spider to a client in the Kvi Cluster.
