First TF Commercial
The first Transformers commercial ever was an ad for the Marvel Comic; this ad had extensive animated footage using Kohara's designs, including completely different designs for the Autobot and Decepticon ships. I haven't seen this ad since it first aired. If anyone has that ad, please BitTorrent and/or YouTube it! This footage may be part of an even larger "pilot" film; many animated series will have a 4 or 5 minute promo made up before going forward. (See Doozy Bots for example.) Early commercial designs
Just to clarify the article revision, all Kohara's designs were modified before they were used anywhere, and this includes the early commecrials and comics. If you look at the early comics and linked commercials , Megatron's early head design is indeed straight from Kohara, but his torso is completely different, having obviously been revised. None of the Autobots have prominent wheels in robot mode either. Hope that clarifies any lingering "misinformations"! Jon T 11:19, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
