Oil Slick is a Decepticon-allied Mini-Con from the Generation 1 and Unicron Trilogy continuity families.

Just a good ol' boy, always meaning some harm.

Oil Slick is a member of the Dirt Digger Team, a band of rowdy roughnecks whose backwoods mannerisms mask their incredible skill as spies. He is their go-to 'bot for building all manners of contraptions, as he is oh-so-good at turning even the most innocuous of mechanisms into a lethal weapon. Strangely, he never uses his complex inventions for himself. For Oil Slick, the simplest of weapons is the most satisfying, and he gets a rush out of causing a lot of destruction with very little at his disposal. On his free time, he goes on crime sprees so that he can get chased around by the authorities and cause as much mayhem as possible.

Oil Slick was one of the dissatisfied Mini-Cons recruited by Broadside to oppose the return of the Autobots to Cybertron. Along with his partners Grindor and Dirt Rocket, Oil Slick sneaked into the trans-hyperwave caster tower to change the data-con signal being broadcast into space. By altering the message to declare Cybertron quarantined, Broadside's followers hoped to deter the Bulks from returning.

Unfortunately, they were caught by the suspicious Dinobot, Hacksaw. Oil Slick's boys triple-teamed Hacksaw, but a combination of brute strength and dirty fighting carried the Dinobot through the battle. Broadside arrived and had his own fierce (and climactic) fight with Hacksaw, but by then the damage had been done...no new signal would be broadcast. Broadside ordered Oil Slick and the Dirt Digger Team to go underground while he tried to find a way to spin the night's events to his advantage. The New World

Oil Slick transforms into a genericized muscle car, a cross between a late 1960s Chevrolet Camaro, a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, a 1970 Dodge Charger and a 1970 Dodge Coronet Super Bee. His robot-mode "hands" (actually a knife and a pincer-like claw) can be left deployed out of his grill in car mode. He was only available as part of the Dirt Digger Team, part of the second wave of Classics Mini-Cons, packaged with his teammates Dirt Rocket and Grindor.

He's pretty unstable when standing straight, as his feet are placed too far off to the front with his heels additionally being too short to support his back, with the result being that he often falls on said back. One could pose him to bend over to make him stable, but then he would end up staring at the ground.

This mold was also used to make Universe Makeshift and Iron Claw.

• Oil Slick's alternate mode and base color were inspired by the General Lee, the car from the TV series The Dukes of Hazzard.
• Oil Slick was never released in Japan, though a blue test shot was exhibited at Transformers Expo in 2014.
