Depth Charge had friends on Starbase Rugby but apparently spent little time there.

During Depth Charge's hunt for Protoform X, the villainous Transformer destroyed the base and devoured some of the inhabitants. Rampage (née X) brought it up during their pair's final battle near the Nemesis, in order to goad Depth Charge into fighting: taunting him that he'd had "no time for Starbase Rugby" and his friends, and they'd been... quite tasty. Notes

• The station's name is another call out to the fan community by the Beast Wars writers. In this case, "Rugby's Starbase" was a toy retailer and fixture of the BotCon dealer room for years. Another site of Protoform X's villainy, "Colony Omicron", was also a reference to them.
