Grimlock's rampage forces the Dynobots to make their choice, and Scorponok unearths an ancient evil.
Synopsis
[edit]
A raging Grimlock tears through Starsreach Spaceport, ripping everyone in his path to pieces, be they Autobot or Decepticon, and sending Shockwave's forces into a retreat. Optimus Prime manages to pin him down long enough to calm him down, but on returning to robot mode, the Dynobot regretfully sees the incident as evidence that he and his team can never be cured of their curse and must abandon Cybertron. Prime urges him to stay, believing the Dynobots capable of overcoming their affliction, but while Grimlock appreciates his kindness, he unfortunately doesn't share his optimism. Before boarding a departing ship, he tells Optimus that he is indeed different from the past Primes and that under other circumstances it would've been an honor to serve under him.
On their way back to Kolkular, Shockwave and his troops are given new orders to join Scorponok at the Toraxxis crater, which to their confusion is being ceaselessly bombed by Seekers. Scorponok explains to Shockwave that unlike Megatron, who merely wished to change Cybertronian society, he is looking to destroy it completely and replace it with a new world founded on the Decepticon ideal—survival of the fittest—and now he has discovered that which will let him achieve his goal. As he waxes poetic about his ideal future, the ancient seals placed upon the crater are broken and the ground beneath the Decepticons bursts open... Trypticon has awoken.
