The history of the Beast Wars, from its finest moments to its lowest blows!

Synopsis

"Clash!" is a "compilation film", made up entirely of footage from the first season of the Beast Wars cartoon cut together with newly-recorded dialogue to tell a complete, if disjointed, story that broadly covers the major events of the show so far. Storylinks note where each piece of footage originates.

The Predacons hunt the Maximals through the jungle, but Optimus Primal and his forces are able to overpower and defeat Megatron and his troops. The Maximals celebrate their victory, with Rhinox noting that he's happy that he's able to cut loose on the big screen. Call of the Wild

Some time later, Rhinox chows down on some wild bean vines, sating his hunger before heading into the next battle. Elsewhere, Rattrap and Dinobot are out on patrol, bickering all the while, when Dinobot catches the scent of Tarantulas. The Predacon spider flees, and the two Maximals give chase, but are lured into trap and sent tumbling down a tunnel into the Predacons' secret underground base of operations, where Tarantulas holds them at gunpoint. Fortunately, a large boulder comes rolling down the tunnel after them, crushing Tarantulas (who can't believe he has to do this running gag even in a movie). Dinobot takes the defeated Predacon hostage and marches into the base's main room, demanding Megatron surrender, but Megatron simply blasts Tarantulas out of his hands, robbing Dinobot of the upper hand. Just then, the other Maximals arrive, and Rhinox puts his bean-induced indigestion to good use, unleashing a massive fart than blasts the Predacons out of the base and over the horizon. The Low Road

With the Predacons defeated, the Maximals begin scavenging their base for eqipment that they can use to repair their ship, the Axalon, and return to Cybertron. Rattrap is concerned about Dinobot, wondering if, as an ex-Predacon, he will now turn on the Maximals now that the other Predacons are defeated, but Dinobot surprises everyone by deciding to remain on Energoa when they leave. Victory While working on the exterior of the ship that night, Dinobot is approached by Megatron, who invites him to rejoin the Predacons and help them seize the ship so they can return to Cybertron together. When Dinobot refuses, he is ambushed from behind by Tarantulas and Scorponok, but dispatches them using the ship's autoguns. Fallen Comrades Dinobot pursues the fleeing Predacons, and tracks them to a cramped underground cave, where they've holed up to wait for the Maximals to complete repairs to the ship. Overpowered, Dinobot races back to the Axalon to warn the other Maximals, but the Predacons chase after him, arriving just as the Axalon begins launch procedures. Optimus Primal and Cheetor head out to help Dinobot, but both Cheetor and Dinobot are wounded in the process; Primal is able to get them aboard the ship, but Predacon fire prevents him from boarding just before it blasts off. Megatron, however, has been able to sneak aboard, and though Rhinox defeats him in comabt and shoves him out the airlock, the damage the Predacon leader does the ship causes it to plummet back to the surface. Fortunately, Primal is able to use his own flight abilities to grab the ship's nosecone and guide it back down to the surface, saving all aboard. Victory

Some time later again, Rhinox detects the emergence of a powerful alien energy signature, and the Maximals roll out to investigate. Other Voices, Part 1 They run into the Predacons on the way, but easily dispatch them in a comedic, slapstick battle. Before the Storm Arriving at the location of the alien signature, the Maximals discover a strange Bio-Dome has formed. Primal ventures inside, where he is taken captive and confronted by the aliens, who have taken the form of Unicron, drawing the image of the planet-eater from a scan of Primal's mind. Due to the Maximals and Predacons interfering with the experiments they were conducting on the planet, they announce their intent to scour the planet clean, and send a signal to one of Energoa's moons, transforming it into a huge heat-ray weapon that begins bathing Energoa in its beams. Other Voices, Part 1 The Maximals formulate a plan to destroy the orbiting weapon by crashing a modified, flight-capable stasis pod into it, which Optimus Primal insists he will pilot personally, over the protestations of the other Maximals. Moments before impact, however, Primal discovers that the Predacons have remotely tampered with the pod, and he is unable to eject before impact. The pod collides with the moon, and the weapon and Primal are both destroyed in a huge fireball! Other Voices, Part 2
