Time

Time is a nonspatial continuum in which events occur in seemingly irreversible transition of the current state to the next as governed by the laws of the universe.

The (or an) universe can be described as having three spatial axes: x, y, and z. Time is often regarded as the fourth dimension. For the most part, however, time self-progresses in one direction.

A consequence of the perception of time as a dimension is that traveling backwards in time is possible. Just as one can change direction in space, one can traverse time in a similar manner.
