- Bumblebee uses the term "Big Bot", which was also Cheetor's affectionate name for Optimus Primal in Beast Wars.
- Megatron is made up of Destronium circuits. The Decepticons are called Destrons in Japan.
- Bumblebee's battle mask bears a striking similarity to the toy-face of the original Generation 1 Bumblebee toy.
- Sumdac's new police drones, first seen (sort of) in Total Meltdown, have been adopted by the Detroit police department...they still need to work out some bugs.
