Okay, so I don't always have that central turbine.

Scorponok is a Predacon scorpion who's made out of turbines! There's also a Decepticon scorpion out and about who's made out of the same turbines, which is weird.

Scorponok can either form armor for Scourge or partner up with Sandspear.

There's a lot of him.

Fiction

Rise of the Beasts film

Scorponoks were deployed to the Maximal Homeworld by Unicron alongside fellow servant Scourge, with two going after Maximal leader Apelinq and subsequently killed by Optimus Primal.

Later during Unicrons attempted invasion of Earth Scorponoks were sent as reinforcements for the army of Freezers. Any that weren't killed by the combined Maximal-Autobot forces died in the explosion caused by Optimus Prime destroying the Transwarp Key. Rise of the Beasts

Toys

Rise of the Beasts

Scourgeponok.

  • Scourge & Predacon Scorponok (Beast Combiners, 2023)
    • Accessories: Tail section
Included with Scourge, Beast Combiners Scorponok converts into a set of armor for compatible figures via partial autotransformation. His tail section detaches to form a handheld weapon.

  • Predacon Scorponok & Sandspear (Beast Weaponizers, 2023)
    • Accessories: Tail weapon
Released as part of a Target-exclusive Buzzworthy Bumblebee line, Rise of the Beasts Scorponok transforms from robot to monstrous robotic scorpion. The scorpion tail detaches to serve as a weapon for his robot mode, while Scorponok's fellow scorpion-bot and pack-in partner Sandspear also converts into a blade that he can wield.
The robot mode head of this toy is based on that of Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe Class Dead End, or more accurately, based on that same Dead End head as used by a fan-made custom that's one of the top results on Google Images when you type in stuff like "movie scorponok".

Notes

  • It is unclear if Scorponok's status as a Predacon in the toyline is applicable to the film's setting, wherein the Scorponoks' sole purpose is to serve Unicron. The term "Predacon" is never used in the film, and the group's existence can only be inferred from Scourge having two Beast Era Predacon insignias, evidently harvested from an unspecified number of defeated foes of Unicron.
