Skybound is a U.S. entertainment company headed up by Robert Kirkman and David Alpert, best known for The Walking Dead brand. As an imprint of Image Comics, Skybound is set to publish the next licensed Transformers and G.I. Joe comics beginning later in 2023, part of a continuity dubbed the Energon Universe.

  • Skybound was announced to be in negotiations in December 2021 for Hasbro comic licenses.[1]
  • Skybound was eventually confirmed on 10 June 2023 as the publisher by a promotional artwork poster posted from a comic shop to Tumblr,[2] ahead of Void Rivals #1 going on sale on 14 June 2023.
