SWV
SWV (Sisters with Voices) are an American R&B music trio from The Bronx, New York City. Originally formed in 1988 as a gospel group, the trio consisted of singers Cheryl "Coko" Gamble, Tamara "Taj" George, and Leanne "Lelee" Lyons with their debut album from 1992, It's About Time. SWV then went on to become one of the most successful R&B groups of the 1990s, until their disbandment in 1998 after their Christmas album, A Special Christmas. The group was later reunited in 2005, after a seven-year hiatus where all three members went to do solo projects for themselves. Their comeback album, I Missed Us would not be released until 2012, another seven-year hiatus for the group since their reunion.
The Old Skool Radio 7" version of their song, "Anything" is featured in the 2023 film, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and is listed on its official Spotify playlist.
