In 1934, Oppenheimer's studies of Megatron allowed him to develop a magnetic blaster-weapon that would scramble the brain circuits of any Cybertronian lifeform. It was successfully road-tested in Sowers, Texas, by Roy Thompson and Margaret Simmons. Together Oppenheimer was also involved with constructing the Sector Seven facility used to study Megatron in the Arctic, having designed an automatic lockdown that would shut down the facility and hopefully trap Megatron if he began thawing. Though he was instrumental in the US winning World War II thanks to his hand in inventing the atomic bomb, Oppenheimer's socialist background led to him being accused of communism and disgraced by Bill Simmons and others. In 2003, portraits of Oppenheimer and other important people who worked with N.B.E.-1's technology adorned the walls of a Sector Seven headquarters in Richmond, Virginia. Movie Prequel #3
