Battle Savanna

The Battle Savanna is a Laser Beast vehicle from the Generation 1 continuity family.

I want to turn people into dinosaurs. Then run them over.

Despite its small size, the Battle Savanna (バトルサバンナ Batoru Sabanna) packs an incredible amount of power. Like the other Battlecruisers, it is designed with multiple gravity and anti-gravity generators to give it incredible speed and maneuverability. Optimized for overland combat, its gravity condenser actually stores gravity and uses it to further boost its built-in weaponry. Its "G-Blower" diffuses the gravity of their target, and thus, diffuses the target, while the "G-Bracer" crushes targets by doing the opposite.

The machine is under the control of Slag King, Commander of the Laser Beast Ground Battalion.

• Battle Savanna (Battlecruiser vehicle, 1988)

Released in the "Laser Beasts" portion of the post-Transformers-branded Beastformers toyline, the Battle Savanna is a small rhinoceros-themed battle sled with a pull-back motor, allowing it to rocket forward on smooth surfaces. The "handlebars" actually act as a securing clip around the waists of Beastformer and Laser Beast figures, though many figures end up kind of dangling there, feet off the platform.

It came with the Laser Beast Slag King, who was only available in this set.

Notes

• Despite the green coloring and rounded "eyes" giving it more of a horned-reptile vibe, the packaging explicitly calls the Battle Savanna a "Transport Rhino Type Battle Chariot".
• The machine's weaponry is detailed in the Hero Special 12: Laser Beasts mook. However, the Battlecruiser page has a persistent error where only about half the bullet points on the technical diagrams have lines leading to the specific parts of the vehicles. As such, it's not clear what part the G-Blower and G-Bracer actually are, other than "probably one of the details on the vehicle's head."
