Rumble (ROTF)
| The name or term "Rumble" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Rumble (disambiguation). |
- Rumble is a Decepticon from the Revenge of the Fallen portion of the live-action film continuity family.

Rumble is one of Soundwave's minions. His preferred method of fighting is the head-on charge. He's not exactly subtle. Sometimes he's a rhino, sometimes a normal "humanoid" minion.
Oh, and he's blue.

Under the command of Soundwave, Rumble was a crew member of the Nemesis on its mission to locate a Star Harvester. He gave a damage report after the Ark warped straight into their ship, removing a huge chunk of the its bow in the process. Soundwave ordered him to set the Nemesis down on a moon of a nearby gas giant, after which the ship was abandoned as the crew followed the Ark to Earth. Convergence chapter 1 After a return trip to the Nemesis on the Longshot, Rumble reported that an energy signature similar to the warping of the Ark had appeared on Mars. Convergence chapter 4
After humans who were unrelated to NEST intervened in a battle between Autobots and Decepticons, Rumble was among the minions Soundwave dispatched to attack this new human threat, leaving one alive for interrogation. The operation was not a success, and eventually, Soundwave was forced to pull out his forces, including Rumble. Nefarious #1

Rumble joined Buzzsaw, Dirt Boss, Beastbox and Ratbat in freeing the captured Soundwave from a Bumblebee led Autobot convoy in New Mexico. Rumble battled Bumblebee, until the latter, seeing his team being overwhelmed, pulled out and allowed the Decepticons to retrieve Soundwave. Nefarious #3 Soundwave tracked Ravage to eastern California where the Initiative base was located. After sending in first Dirt Boss, then Ratbat and Buzzsaw, Soundwave let Beastbox and Rumble attack. Rumble was caught in an energy net and shot at by Initiative soldiers. Nefarious #4
Rumble later spent some time at the Decepticon base in Namibia. Rising Storm #2 When Arcee, Chromia and Elita-One went to spy on the Decepticons, they found Shockwave's cage for his "pet". They were then ambushed by Rumble, Soundwave, and other Decepticons. Rumble tackled Arcee Rising Storm #3 only to be punched in the jaw by Chromia. After Elita's death, Rumble gathered with Soundwave when Chromia attempted suicide by setting off a huge bomb that caught Rumble in the blast, presumably killing the rhino-bot. Rising Storm #4

- Concept Art Decepticon Rumble (Core Class, 2024)
- Movie: Bumblebee
- Accessories: 2 Blasters
- Released in the first wave of Core Class Studio Series figures for 2024, "Concept Art Decepticon Rumble" is one of the first of the unprecedented "Concept Art" Studio Series figures- based on existing concept art and CAD files for characters that were once planned to appear in a movie. Rumble transforms into a Cybertronian cassette/unidentifiable lump in 11 steps. He has a pair of piledrivers molded into his arms, at the cost of hands and shoulder joints.
- He also includes two blasters, which can be stored on his back in robot mode but seemingly don't store in alt mode. Speaking of Rumble's alt mode, he can be stored in the chest of the previously released Studio Series Bumblebee Soundwave.
- Rumble, alongside the first wave of 2024 Studio Series product, was revealed at MCM London 2023.
Notes
- Rumble was in an early draft of The Reign of Starscream, but was dropped at Hasbro's request.[1]
- Rumble's Revenge of the Fallen design (blue color scheme and rhinoceros-like robot mode) serves as the basis of Shattered Glass Ramhorn.
- Rumble's design in The Battle at Half Dome is heavily inspired by his Generation 1 namesake, right down to the humanoid robot and cassette tape modes.
- Most of Rumble's body parts seem to have been lifted from multiple other characters, consisting of Jetfire's arms, Jazz's legs, Ironhide's chest, and Sideswipe's head.
- In contrast, the original concept art/model for Rumble in the Bumblebee movie, shown in the "Concept Art Decepticon Rumble" toy above, is more faithful to his namesake, though he's lacking a mouth, which ends up making the head more like Bruticus.

There was a early draft I had that featured Soundwave, Rumble, Laserbeak, Ravage, Overkill, Devastator, Arcee, and a few others. That got killed by Hasbro... [2]> 4. was there any idea or concept that you had for any of the Tf movie Comic books But there were remvoed or scrapped? Mowry: 4.) Soundwave in RoS. He would have been very, very cool. And the ideas for Rumble and them would have been quite fun to play with.
