The Play Plexers were originally intended to be part of the sixth Series of BotBots, available in the single-pack Blind Bag Mystery Figures assortment, the five-pack assortment, and the 8-pack assortment.

However, this iteration of Series 6 was never fully announced, and quietly canceled, with a completely different Series 6 lineup releasing in 2022.
