Mizuho Suzuki

Mizuho Suzuki (鈴木瑞穂, Suzuki Mizuho) was a Japanese screen and voice actor (October 23, 1927–November 19, 2023). He was primarily a screen actor, appearing in numerous films and television dramas, including The Return of Godzilla and Makai Tenso (aka, Samurai Resurrection). In terms of anime voice over work, however, he was perhaps best recognized as Dr. Onishi from Akira. In the world of dubbing, Suzuki mostly stuck to live action films (though he was the narrator for Disney's Beauty and the Beast), having dubbed Vito Corleone in the TV version of The Godfather and Darth Vader in all Nippon TV broadcasts of the Star Wars trilogy.
He passed away at the age of 96 from heart failure.[1]
