I have no reason to doubt your credentials; I simply hadn't spotted your User page before this incident.

As for denying recognition, we tried to put it into practice in the sense that we minimized direct response to the person, but we thought it was better to preserve evidence of his activity, mainly as a warning to others. Also, as indicated above, the troll himself has been the sole person to attempt to delete his own Talk page material prior to this point, so we didn't wish to give him the satisfaction of covering his tracks, as it were.

If this is considered (more or less) official wikia policy towards such activity, we can certainly honor and participate in it.--Apcog 00:30, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Unwritten really, and no reason to preserve evidence. You can only erase evidence by cleaning out revisions from articles by deleting the article and restoring only the "good" revisions, otherwise it's unfortunately forever imprinted into the article's edit history. --Charitwo 00:37, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
