Unlike the Hasbro version of this line, the toys in the Henkei! Henkei! line come with several mini-comics, usually promoting the toys they are sold with. All the comics are written and drawn by Naoto Tsushima.
Compared to past Japanese series, this comic presents the Henkei! universe as a new continuity, rather than shoehorning it somewhere into the Japanese Generation 1 cartoon continuity. An on-going monthly Henkei! series was published in Comic Bun Bun, but due to events that occur in chapter 4 compared to volume 4, neither share continuity with each other.
