Burnrate likes to play with fire. Unfortunately he's not terribly discriminate about aiming, just so long as it's in the general direction of the Autobots.

Burnrate was sent to Battle Mountain with Blowback, Roadrash and Sawtooth to investigate a storehouse of Cybertronian artifacts. They ran into the Autobots Gears and Bumblebee, who managed to trick Burnrate into shooting Sawtooth. While Burnrate was grappling with Bumblebee, Roadrash was inadvertently terminated by Blowback, and the three Decepticons regrouped.

One of Burnrate's missiles hit a train car which apparently had something explosive in it, as it knocked everyone flying. After receiving a kick from Blowback, he got up to find Sawtooth had been terminated by the Autobots. With less favorable odds, the two Decepticons split up to retreat. Burnrate was pursued to some rodeo grounds by Bumblebee who managed to kill him with a pulse cannon blast to the chest. Battle Mountain
