Vortex Drone
- Vortex Drones are Decepticons from the Rise of the Chevy Autobots portion of the movie continuity family.
Mainframe's Vortex Drones are his light, fast, first-strike troops. Dancing away from Autobot attacks in a whirl of arms and legs, the Vortex Drones have a plethora of subroutines dedicated to staying as far away from a foe as possible while hammering away with their weapons like a hurricane. Once an opponent gets close, though, one good solid punch will take the wind right out of their sails.

Bumblebee's Mission Log
Once Bumblebee identified Mainframe as the being responsible for the disappearances of numerous Autobots on Earth, he began to feed the rogue Decepticon false information about the location of the Allspark. At Mainframe's command, waves of Vortex Drones (as well as Shock Drones, Plasma Drones and Glacier Drones) marched forth to seek out the Allspark and destroy any Autobots they encountered.
