Davey is a power plant worker, Sparkplug's best friend, and Carly's father. He doesn't have great luck with giant robot encounters.

Davey picked Sparkplug up from the VFW bar to go to work, trying to ease him out of an argument he was having with his son, Spike. When Starscream attacked the power plant, Davey couldn't run away in time and was crushed in the Decepticon's fist as he delighted in the poor soul's squishy patheticness. Transformers #1 His body would be taken away in a ambulance. When Carly went home to check on her parents, Sparkplug met her in full military gear, telling her her father was dead. Transformers #2
