Entertainment Rights
Entertainment Rights PLC was a mass media and entertainment conglomerate based in the United Kingdom that handled television distribution rights to several Transformers animated productions outside the United States and Asia - the Unicron Trilogy (Armada<ref>https://www.animationmagazine.net/2003/07/entertainment-rights-boards-armada/</ref>, Energon and Cybertron) and Transformers Animated.<ref>https://investegate.co.uk/entertainment-rights--ert-/rns/distribution-agreement/200705080701051651W/</ref>
The company held worldwide broadcasting and home video master rights excluding the US, Canada, Latin America, Japan and much of the rest of Asia <ref> Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines (excluding Armada) and Singapore to be exact.</ref> to the Unicron Trilogy (its rights on Armada include US home video [which were sold to Kid Rhino], and full Latin America and Canadian rights, however). Their home video division Right Entertainment released several VHS and DVD volumes of Transformers: Armada in the United Kingdom. Entertainment Rights held worldwide broadcast rights to Animated excluding the US, Japan, and Canada.
A failed expansion to the North American market with the purchase of Classic Media in January 2007 led to Entertainment Rights entering administration on April 1, 2009, and was sold to Boomerang Media (a company formed by Classic Media's founders in 2008) on the same day, and a month later, Boomerang folded ER into Classic Media. The television distribution rights to the Transformers series have reverted to Hasbro within an unknown timeframe.
