As youths, Jimmy and his younger brother Spike used to sneak out to an abandoned quarry and mess with the old equipment. Transformers #2 Jimmy would later become an astronaut and die during a space shuttle incident. Transformers #6 Despite his death, his younger brother wanted to become an astronaut like him and would bring his telescope with him to Hanger Rock with Carly. Transformers #1
