Botanicus

Botanicus is a Transformer from the 2021 Beast Wars portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

On a distant world, the Defiance battled the forces of Megasavage and his Servicons, until only Botanicus, Silverklaw, and Nightshriek (IDW) remained. While on the run, Silverklaw contracted an unknown illness, a kind of mutagenic bacteria Botanicus dubbed "morphlings". Despite Botanicus's best attempts, Silverklaw languished for many cycles before finally succumbing to the illness. However, Botanicus hatched a plan to use the morphlings against their foes, and crafted an improvised bacteria bomb for Nightshriek to deploy against their foes in a final suicide run. As Nightshriek flew off, Botanicus had only a few moments to say goodbye before the Servicons invaded their underground hideout.

However, these events were all invented by Cheetor for one of his scary stories... or were they? The Morphlings
