Sandstorm, along with the rest of Remote Patrol Six, was dispatched to scan the Plait Expanse's radiation in an attempt to escape Cybertron. They were also harbouring Hound from Optimus Prime, as Hound had faked his death when Rodimus and Goldbug threw everyone who was deemed too loyal to Prime off the Ark. He managed to stop an argument between Powerglide and Hound from turning into a fight when he reported that he had discovered a strange signal. Do Over

Sandstorm was part of Ultra Magnus's Wreckers, looming behind the others when they arrived on Pax to seek an audience with Optimus Prime. Forced to wait outside with the rest of the Wreckers, Sandstorm would wait for Ultra Magnus's sign to begin wreaking havoc, opening fire on Optimus Prime's troops and witnessing Ultra Magnus's takeover.Shattered Glass II #1
