Chromedome apparently displeased Optimus Prime at some point in the past. Now he's on the shelf. When Blurr failed to return from the Dinobot Hunt with Grimlock, Prime threatened to put him on the shelf as well. Dungeons & Dinobots
After Demolishor created Robot Master technology allowing cyborg humans to "plug in" to Cybertronians and control them, Rewind stole the tech and used it to restore Chromedome's head as a mobile attacker. Coalescence
At the battle of Decepticon City, Chromedome and Rewind joined forces against Weirdwolf. Restoration Following their defeat, Chromedome was among the Autobots who left for Cybertron aboard Sky Lynx. When their ride announced they'd have to lighten their load, Rodimus promptly dumped Optimus Prime out the nearest hatch. Before the war, Chromedome and Prowl were security officers who worked for Orion Pax. After Orion pulled some strings to get his friend Megatron released from prison, the pair helped break them up when a disagreement escalated into a full-on brawl. Shattered Glass #2 Not long afterwards, Orion sent Chromedome, Bumblebee, and Prowl to bring in Starscream when he attempted to sabotage the information on Titans he and Jetfire had worked to compile, but they arrived too late. Shattered Glass #3
During the Great War, Chromedome became a scout for the Autobots alongside Blaster and Blurr. Shattered Glass II #2 When the Autobots emerged victorious and conquered Cybertron, the scouts became "bodyscrappers", vicious bounty hunters who spent their time rounding up and junking Decepticon stragglers. As the number of active Decepticons dwindled, however the bodyscrappers began competing with one another for kills; when he and Hardhead cornered Starscream near Gold City, Blurr was able to steal their kill by teaming up with his quarry against the pair, and in the ensuing battle Starscream kicked him in the face. Shattered Glass #1
During Megatron's full-scale invasion of Gold City, a Decepticon put Chromedome in a bear hug and took him out of the fight. Shattered Glass #5
Notes
[edit]- In Fun Publications' stories, Chromedome (his head, anyway) is based on Generation 1 Chromedome's Timelines toy in the colors of Apeface.
- In IDW Publishing's comic, Chromedome is modeled on Retro Headmasters Chromedome, but in an original color scheme.[1]
