This article is about the Mini-Con. For the full-sized Autobot, see Longarm (Movie){{#switch:{{#sub:Longarm (Movie)|-1}}|!=|.=|?=|.}} For a list of other meanings, see Longarm (disambiguation).
Longarm is an Autobot-allied Mini-Con from the Transformers portion of the live-action film series continuity family.
Wealth and fame, he's ignored. Action is his reward.

Though Inferno may go overlooked in favor of his more famous colleague, the Autobot therapist takes solace in knowing he shares his lot in life with his partner, the equally obscure Longarm. The diminutive Mini-Con can activate his comrade's battle mode by linking with the larger Cybertronian or form part of Inferno's repair mode. Either way, the dynamic duo gets little credit for the many lives they save on the regular.

One can only guess how he feels about the Earthborn upstart who shares his name.

Toys

Transformers (2007)

[edit]
  • Inferno (Voyager Class, 2008)
A redeco of the Armada Mini-Con Longarm, Longarm transforms into a hook-crane truck. He was only available as a pack-in with the Toys"R"Us exclusive Voyager Inferno.
This is the only iteration of this mold that does not use jet-black as a base color, using a deep brown instead.
This toy was also sold exclusively at The Warehouse in New Zealand.

Notes

[edit]
  • Longarm was the first Mini-Con expressly identified as being part of the live-action universe. (Though Japanese promotional Mini-Cons Noise Effect and Torque Gain were available with movie product, their instructions use the notably-different "classic" Japanese Transformers logo rather than the movie logo, seemingly placing them within the Generation 1 realm.) He was later joined by characters released in the Power Core Combiners and Dark of the Moon toylines (as well as Frenzy when he was declared a Mini-Con in 2011), but even then, just what being a Mini-Con in the movieverse entails is a mystery.
