You probably have the Chinese release. (no, it's not a bootleg. In the late '80 to mid-90s Hasbro released a good chunk of the G1 line in China, including a number of toys previously sold only by Takara in Japan. All of these had a small black sticker with white Chinese text on the upper right side of the packaging. --FortMax 23:00, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, FortMax! I don't know if I should answer here or on your talkpage, so I do it here. Have Chinese toys got into German retail, or Malaysian? I guess I'll never be able to definitely tell where I have it from, as I don't have the package anymore, only the toy, but it's not that important anyway. But thanks again, FortMax! --2A6 11:11, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
I don't doubt that the Chinese Hasbro releases were sold elsewhere in the region. I wouldn't be suprised if they wound up in Europe too since that's where all those unsold Mexican IGA releases of the '84-'85 line wound up in the early '90's, not to mention the "Classics" reissues at the same time. --FortMax 22:43, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
Okay thanks again. Now at least I know the options where I could have obtained it without a forgotten journey to Japan. --2A6 22:56, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Takeshi's Castle

Takeshi's Castle was shown on Spike TV in the US, but it was dubbed as Most Extreme Elimination Challenge. Not sure if the original was supposed to be as humorous as the MXC dub though. --FortMax 22:43, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Well, at least the German dub was pretty humorous as well. But then again it might well be possible that it simply was the American dub redubbed into German. Main point is, my caption from the Terror-Tread article is understood by American users as well. --2A6 22:56, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
