Turbo-Pack
From MediaWiki

The Turbo-Pack is Kick-Off's personal weapon. It transforms from a flight pack capable of propelling its wearer up to 450mph into a (very large) hand-held solar-powered flamethrower with a heat beam attachment.
Kick-Off probably could have really used it during his time in a Decepticon prison. For one thing, it would have made it a lot shorter stay.

[edit]The Transformers
[edit]
- Kick-Off with Turbo-Pack (Action Master, 1990)
- Known designers: Masakatsu Saito (concept artist)
- Part of the first assortment of individually-carded Action Masters, released in the seventh and final year of The Transformers in the US, the Turbo-Pack is a black jet pack with retracting wings that fits into the screw-socket on the back of any normal Action Master. It also features a non-firing cannon that deploys over the wearer's right shoulder with a spring-loaded trigger. The Pack has multiple mounting points for Action Master rifles: three on the back and one on each side of the cannon barrel.
- It transforms into a very cumbersome hand-held "flamethrower" cannon by flipping out the cannon then sliding that assembly into the middle, against a strut that keeps it from swinging forward all the way.
- It was only available packed in with Kick-Off.
Notes
[edit]- The Turbo-Pack is the only Action Master "accessory" to come with a new-character figure; the others all have robo-animal/drone partners. Whether or not it was originally intended to come with Snarl—rather than his animal partner Tyrannitron—is unknown.
- It is also the only Action Master accessory or partner that does not have a rifle connection socket at the end of the flip/pop-out cannon to extend the barrel. Instead, the smaller rifles plug onto the sides, making it a multi-barrel gun. With all the connection points, it can have upwards of six barrels in handheld weapon mode, more if you give it any double-barreled rifles.
