I may not look it, but I'm actually bigger than Superion!
Blunderbuss is an Autobot Titan Master from the Titans Return portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Blunderbuss is the Titan Master partner to Broadside. He can bestow the power of size changing on any 'bot he unites with, allowing them to temporarily grow into hulking giants.<ref>Titans Return Blunderbuss & Broadside toy bio</ref>

It's currently unknown if he talks like a pirate.

A retool of Titans Return Sovereign, Blunderbuss transforms from a tiny robot based on Safeguard into a head compatible with any Deluxe-or-larger Titans Return figure. Blunderbuss was only available with his larger partner Broadside.
Even though early Hasbro CG renders used colors very close to the final product's light gray plastic, pre-production samples used for stock photos (depicted on the right) featured a gray face for Broadside's head and even darker plastic (with a green-ish tint) for Blunderbuss's arms, legs and head.
Blunderbuss was redecoed into Legends Broadside's Headmaster and retooled into Fathom.

Notes

[edit]
  • A [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}blunderbuss|{{#if:||blunderbuss}}]] is a type of short-range gun, commonly featured in pirate fiction.
  • As a redeco (other than the new Broadside face) of Sovereign, Blunderbuss has a particularly weird design lineage, since Sovereign was designed to resemble Fun Publications' BotCon 2007 exclusive Beta Maxx figure, itself a redeco of Cybertron Safeguard.
  • According to Broadside's online bio and Trypticon's Titan Master Crunch, Blunderbuss's ability is a radar and sonar boost, rather than mass shifting.
