Cannonball is the name taken by Decepticon pirate captains from the 2001 Robots in Disguise continuity family.

You know that feeling you get sometimes when you're standing in a high place? Sudden urge to jump? I don't have it.

As in other parts of the Multiverse, the role of bloodthirsty pirate captain Cannonball is one taken on by a number of mechs. When one Cannonball falls, another takes his name and modifies his body to keep the universe believing that it is one and the same Cannonball who lives on.
