Crystalline King

The Crystalline King is an entity from the Cyberverse continuity family.

In the forests of Cybertron, there lies an entity known as the Crystalline King. Hidden deep in the heart of his Crystal City, travelers beware, for you may be his next victim.

The Crystalline King came to Cybertron at some unknown point in time, and set up his Crystal City to protect himself from the native lifeforms. The City became so dangerous to the Cybertronian race that Onyx Prime sent the knight Thunderhowl on a quest to destroy the King. Unfortunately, the knight of the Primes was felled by the defenses, and the Crystal City continued to menace Cybertron.

Millions of years later, a fragment of the Cityspeaker Windblade lodged itself in the Crystalline King. This drew the Autobots Bumblebee and Chromia to Crystal City, where they encountered the defenses and inadvertently freed Thunderhowl, who joined them in retrieving Windblade. The three managed to come face-to-face with the ruler of Crystal City, forcing him to use Windblade's mind shard to generate an army of crystal Cityspeakers. Ultimately, he was shattered by Bee's multiverse energy, and the City collapsed shortly after, permanently ending his reign of terror. Thunderhowl
